Each piece draws on a combination of primary sources - household finance data published by government statistical agencies in Malaysia and comparable economies - and direct observation from the authors' own budgeting practice over several years.
Before a claim appears in an article, it passes a simple test: can it be demonstrated with a specific scenario and a real number? If the answer is no, the claim gets cut or reframed as opinion, clearly labelled as such.
